How Sabmeet Charges

At Sabmeet, we believe in transparency when it comes to charging commission. Here’s a simple breakdown of how our commission structure works for sellers:

1. Sabmeet’s Total Charge = Category Commission + Delivery Fees + Product Weight Charge (If Applicable)

  • Category Commission: This is a fixed percentage depending on the category of the product.
  • You will see each Category commsion At the end after you list the product where you can choose commision as per your required services.
  • For example, if you’re selling in the books category, the commission could be 5%.
  • Delivery Fees: The delivery fee depends on the type of account you choose—whether you’re delivering locally or across the city.
    • Local Delivery: Fixed delivery charge per order, say ₹30 for local deliveries.
    • City Delivery: Higher charges applicable based on distance.
  • Product Weight Charge (If Applicable): If the product’s volumetric weight exceeds a certain limit (e.g., 20kg), an additional charge will be added based on the product’s weight.

2. What You’ll Get in Hand

  • Selling Price – Sabmeet Charges = Amount You’ll ReceiveOnce all the charges are applied, the remaining amount is what you will receive. This includes category commission, delivery fees, and any weight-based charges if applicable.

Example: How to Calculate Your Listing Price & Earnings

Let’s walk through a detailed example of how to calculate your listing price and profit after selling a product on Sabmeet.

Step-by-Step Example:

  • Product: A book
  • Purchased Price: ₹20 (cost to the seller)
  • Category Commission: 5% for books
  • Seller’s Chosen Delivery Type: Local delivery with ₹30 as delivery fees
  • Volumetric Weight of Book: Above 20kg (let’s assume this incurs additional delivery fees)

Breakdown of Sabmeet’s Charges:

  1. Category Commission:
    • If the book is listed at ₹100, Sabmeet will charge 5% as the category commission.
    • So, the commission will be ₹100 x 5% = ₹5.
  2. Delivery Fee:
    • The seller chose local delivery, which incurs a fixed fee of ₹30 per order.
  3. Weight Charge:
    • Since the volumetric weight is above 20kg, let’s assume an additional ₹10 weight charge applies.

Total Sabmeet Charge = Category Commission + Delivery Fees + Weight Charge

  • Category Commission: ₹5
  • Delivery Fees: ₹30
  • Weight Charge: ₹10
  • Total Sabmeet Charge = ₹5 + ₹30 + ₹10 = ₹45

Amount Seller Receives After Deducting Sabmeet’s Charges:

  • Listed Price: ₹100
  • Sabmeet’s Total Charge: ₹45
  • Amount in Hand = ₹100 – ₹45 = ₹55

Profit Calculation:

  • Selling Price (₹55) – Purchase Price (₹20) = Profit
  • Profit = ₹55 – ₹20 = ₹35

Thus, after all charges, you would earn ₹35 in profit.

How to List Your Price:

When listing your product, always keep in mind:

  • Add Sabmeet’s charges to your product price so you can maintain your desired profit margin.
  • Consider all costs: category commission, delivery fees, and possible weight charges.

If your product costs ₹20 and you want to make a profit of ₹40, you should list it at:

  • Desired Profit (₹40) + Sabmeet’s Charges (₹45) + Product Cost (₹20) = Listing Price
  • ₹40 + ₹45 + ₹20 = ₹105
Thus, the ideal listing price would be ₹105.

Important Points to Remember:

  • Category Commission: Varies based on product type.
  • Delivery Fee: Depends on your chosen delivery type—local or city.
  • Weight Charges: Applicable only if the product exceeds the weight limit.

By understanding Sabmeet’s transparent charges, you can easily calculate your selling price and maximize your profits!
